A design and fabrication laboratory

Made up of designers, architects, materials scientists, creative technologists and experiential artists. Our London-based studio, fully equipped with the latest digital fabrication technology, allows us to experiment with novel manufacturing techniques, to uncover new tools for design thinking and making.

Meet the founders

Jason Sarris

A materials scientist. He obtained his masters in nanomaterials from the Department of Materials and Engineering at Imperial College London.

Jason began his career in the pharmaceutical industry and then moved to healthcare marketing.

Specialising in promotional event management, Jason developed award-winning interactive installations for top-tier global healthcare brands.

Juan Montero

A London-based designer; PhD at Loughborough University (UK). Specialised in investigation of real-time digital fabrication methods for co-production. Juan gained an MA in Social Design from the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL) and is a sessional lecturer on the Foundation Diploma course at Loughborough University.

Since graduating in 2011 Juan’s work has focussed on illustrating the greater existential relationships that can exist between consumers and their products, attempting to establish new roles within the constraints of existing systems.

Our studio

We are located in Sugarhouse Studios. The entrance is relatively inconspicous; a blue door with a mirror sign that reads "SUGARHOUSE STUDIOS". It is an old college gym. Our space "floats" atop the school's swimming pool. You could say we're in the deep end :)

We'd love to have you over for a cup of coffee and a chat. Also more than happy to visit you. Get in touch.
